After appearing at a probation revocation hearing in Fulton County Superior Court Monday, rapper Gucci Mane was sent to an Atlanta mental facility.
The transport order, filed by the court Monday, said that Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, should be taken into custody pending a competency hearing.
Davis' lawyers had filed a "special plea of mental incompetency," saying he could not "intelligently participate" in the probation hearing.
The court sent Davis to Anchor Hospital, an in-patient mental treatment facility in Atlanta.
