The word is... 2 days after winning the NBA Championship, Mavericks forward DeShawn Stevenson was nabbed by police in Irving, Texas for public intoxication.
Stevenson was found by police wandering around an apartment complex. He didn't live at the complex, and didn't seem to know where he was.
"They felt he was a danger to himself and others," Irving public information officer John Argumaniz said. "Basically, he was intoxicated to a point where he didn't feel comfortable letting him walk away or leave. They didn't have any other options at that point."
Stevenson was released on $475 bond the next morning.
